Legendary (Caraval #2) by Stephanie Garber

I can’t begin to describe how much I love this collection. Stephanie Garber created such a magical and unique world, I don’t want get out of it.

On the contrary to Caraval, the first novel, where you followed Scarlett’s story, on Legendary, you got to get close and personal with Donatella, the Scarlett’s younger sister. As she takes part of the delightful and mysterious game that is Caraval, she discovers herself, how far she’s willing to go to protect the people she cares about, and how love is a slippery and sneaky thing. However, while the spirit of Caraval is the same, this time, the rules are difference: different town, different rules and a whole new different stakes. It kept me on the edge of my seat, it was intoxicating and full of twists that kept me guessing.

I can’t say I was surprised with the revelations. Garber gives hints all over the story and it made perfect sense to me to learn Legend’s identity. Still, the ending was torturous and had my heart racing. I can’t wait to see what the finale book will bring, I’m both excited and sad to see the end of this adventure.

An absolutely perfect novel, melody-like storytelling that made not want to finish the book and just enjoy it as slowly as possible, to take everything in.
